Welcome!

The Freeman School District (FSD) School Counseling Program provides essential support and services to students, families, and staff. Our counselors are dedicated to the school’s mission of promoting academic achievement, career readiness, and social-emotional development.

Our primary goal is to empower every student to make informed, intentional decisions regarding their education, wellness, and future. We believe an effective program balances proactive prevention with timely intervention, ensuring students develop the critical skills necessary for success long after they leave Freeman High School.

Guided by Professional Excellence

Our program is built upon the standards established by the State of Washington and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model.

  • Competency: We follow the ASCA School Counselor Competencies to ensure our team is equipped to meet the rigorous demands of modern education.
  • Ethics: We adhere to the ASCA Ethical Standards to maintain the highest levels of integrity, leadership, and professionalism, protecting both our students and the integrity of our practice.
  • Alignment: Our framework aligns with Washington Senate Bill 5030, which mandates a data-driven, comprehensive approach to student success.
